About Us
Mercy Medical Center is a fully JCAHO accredited, 87-bed regional medical facility which serves approximately 50,000 people from western North Dakota and eastern Montana.

Mercy Medical Center is a rural facility that offers many of the same services you would expect to find in larger, urban centers. Mercy has nearly 500 employees making us the largest employer in the region.

Mercy Medical Center was founded in 1920 by the Sisters of Mercy to provide quality healthcare for the whole person regardless of socioeconomic status, race, or ability to pay. Since then, Mercy Medical Center has become a regional medical center offering a range of services including emergency services, surgery, wellness programs, cancer treatment, home health, hospice, chemical dependency programs, rehabilitation therapies, and many more.

In 1996, Mercy Medical Center became part of Catholic Health Initiatives. Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) is a national non-profit corporation based in Denver, Colorado.

Mercy offers the latest technology ranging from state-of-the-art diagnostics like MRI and CT scans in our Imaging Department to the most advanced treatment methods offered by our Leonard P. Nelson Family Cancer Treatment Center.

Mercy Medical Center is affiliated with the most respected physicians and medical providers in the region. Craven-Hagan Clinic offers the area's premier primary care group with physicians specializing in family practice and internal medicine.
